A MAN is in jail after being convicted of sexual offences in Northwood and Ruislip.

Rajdeepak Dhaliwal, 35, of no fixed address, was sentenced to 14 years with an extended six-year licence period at Isleworth Crown Court on Friday (16).

He had been found guilty of attempted rape, forcing another to engage in sexual activity, two counts of sexual assault and false imprisonment.

Det Sgt Nick Howard, said: “While we have not linked Dhaliwal to any further offences, it is possible there might be further victims who have not yet come forward.

“I would encourage them to do so, so they can get the support they may need.”

In September last year, a womanin her 20s, reported she had been sexually assaulted that afternoon at The Gravel Pits in Northwood.

She said she had been approached by a man who claimed to have a knife. He dragged her to a secluded area of the park where he attacked her. The suspect ran away after the woman was able to call for help.

The following morning, a woman in her 50s who said she had been attacked in Duck Pond Park, Ruislip.

The suspect threatened her – again claiming to have a knife – and tried to drag her off the footpath. The woman was able to scream out, causing the man to run away.

Dhaliwal was eventually arrested after a public appeal from police.
