STUDENTS at the independent Northwood College for Girls produced the school’s second set of outstanding exam results in a week.
Head teacher in waiting Rebecca Brown said: “After what has been an extraordinary and often challenging 18 months, 34% of our GCSE results have been achieved at a grade 9, 60% at grades 9-8 and 80% at grades 9-7.
“This year group has highlighted just how resilient, focused and flexible they can be.”
A total of 27% of the girls achieved straight 9-8 grades and 53% attained straight 9-7 grades.
The Year 11 girls will return in September to a new sixth-form pavilion in which to study and socialise.
