CONTRACTORS working for the HS2 rail project have been working with the Iver Environment Centre, in the Colne Valley Regional Park, to complete a restoration project.
Lynch, working with Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture, loaned the centre a one-ton dumper truck for the landscaping project.
Iver Environment Centre is restoring its wildlife pond and, as part of the work, a section is to be filled in, creating a wildflower meadow island.
The centre needed to move 100 tons of sub-soil from the car park, but the access was too narrow for a tipper.
Iver Environment Centre is a 30-year partnership between National Grid and the Groundwork South Trust community charity.
People with physical and learning disabilities can volunteer, while the centre welcomes visits from primary schools in South Bucks, Hillingdon and Slough.
