TV presenter Gabby Logan visited Harefield Hospital on Tuesday (7) to open the new Healing Garden, providing an accessible calm space for patients, visitors and staff.
It is the result of eight years of fund-raising, and Gabby also helped launch the Big Bulb appeal, to raise funds to fill the garden with bulbs.
Gabby said: “I think it's a beautiful, very spiritual and quite emotional place.”
The garden’s founders, Rosie Pope and Catherine Perry, said: “This has been a labour of love for so many people and it’s wonderful to see the garden open.”
Harefield Healing Garden was made possible by donations from patients and their families supported by the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, as well as grants and donations from businesses in the area.

Award-winning garden designers and landscape architects Bowles & Wyer built the garden, with input from patients, their relatives and staff.
Rosie Pope began fund-raising for the garden after her son had a heart transplant at Harefield in 2013, aged 20.
Catherine Perry started after her father spent 12 days at Harefield following a heart attack.
