ROYAL Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity has given £182,000 in new equipment to the hospitals, who were on the COVID-19 front line.

The announcement was made at the charity’s annual Chelsea Physic Garden party.

Funds were raised through donations from patients and their families, staff, trusts, companies and the public.

Equipment includes new humidifiers, a Moto Med arm and leg, a static bike for ITU patients and new ultrasounds.

Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals are the UK’s largest specialist heart and lung centre.

The garden party was attended by Princess Alexandra.
