A pub has received the town council's floral award for the ninth time thanks to its style and impressive flower arrangements.

The Theydon Oak pub, in Coopersale Street, Epping, has been presented with Epping Town Council's Epping in Bloom rose bowl which is awarded annually for the best floral display for business premises in the town.

Town Mayor Michael Wright, who visited the Coopersale Street pub on Wednesday to hand over the trophy and a certificate said: "It was a very hard decision for the council but after a lot of deliberation it was decided that the Theydon Oak - because of the colour, style and amount of floral displays - was the worthy winner this year."
