A HILLINGDON charity is one of three in London to receive a £10,000 windfall as part of Ecclesiastical Insurance Group’s annual Movement for Good awards.
Hillingdon Women’s Centre, which provides support to women in crisis, will be widening its outreach service to deprived areas in the borough.
It aims to help women in their wellbeing, employment and relationships and to overcome barriers in their lives.
Manager Vicky Lechuga said the award would translate directly into women achieving their goals and living healthier and safer lives.
The other London awards are to the Foundling Museum and Bethnal Green Nature Reserve. A panel of judges selected the three recipients from an initial 30 applications.
