Police have launched an investigation after a tube passenger was left with serious head injuries after a wine bottle was smashed over her head.
The assault took place in June on the Northern line with officers now appealing for help to find those responsible.
At around 12.30am on June 17, the victim was on her way home when two women sat opposite her and accused her of staring at them.
The British Transport Police say without warning, the two women became aggressive and one of the suspects pounced on her, cracking a wine bottle over her head.
As a result of the attack, the woman was left shaken and suffered a deep cut to the side of her forehead.
Two suspects were then spotted getting off the train at Golders Green Underground Station.
