CHIEF Executive Fran Beasley is to retire from Hillingdon Council at the end of the year.
She has been with the borough for 13 years, nine of them as chief executive.
“It has been an absolute honour to serve the residents and elected members and I couldn’t have asked to work with a better officer team,” she said.
“I am particularly proud of the role local government has played during the pandemic.
“I have been impressed by the astonishing flexibility, creativity, commitment and sheer hard work shown by Team Hillingdon to keep residents safe through these prolonged unprecedented times.
“It is the right time for me to hand on the baton and I leave the council in safe hands, with an exciting future ahead.”
