THIS Sunday (28) marks the return of the Michael Sobell Hospice annual Light up a Life Remembrance Ceremony.
It is an opportunity for families and friends to come together in memory of, and to honour, a loved one.
The ceremony, takes place in the Michael Sobell Hospice Fundraising building (next door to the hospice) at 3.30pm (fully booked) and 5.30pm, and will consist of music by the Lemon Tuesday choir and readings.
It ends with the lighting of a Christmas tree as the focal point of a special event.
The ceremony invites people to dedicate a light to a loved one, with a personalised message that will be displayed as a star on the tree throughout Christmas and New Year.
You can make a Light up a Life dedication online, and all dedications will also be added to a virtual dedication page.
