DETECTIVES investigating the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Yiewsley have made an arrest.

The victim was found stabbed at the Philpotts Farm open space close to Heather Lane on Thursday evening (30).

Today (2), police visited an address in the borough, where they arrested a 16-year-old youth on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.

Det Chief Insp James Shirley, leading the investigation, said: “While this is a significant development, we continue to fully explore all available lines of inquiry.

“I would urge anyone who has information and who has not yet spoken to police to come forward. What you know could be the thing that makes the difference in this case.”
