A teenager has been fined for being drunk while entering a West Yorkshire football stadium and for obstructing or resisting a police constable.
Luke McCall, 19, was attending the Championship match between Huddersfield Town and Middlesbrough on November 27, 2021, when the offences occurred.
McCall, of The Causeway, Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, was fined £50 for being drunk while entering a sports ground after his guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
On the same day, he also obstructed/resisted a constable, namely PC 887 Culpan, in execution of duty at the John Smiths Stadium, Stadium Way, Huddersfield.
After pleading guilty to that offence, he was fined £250, must pay a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services, and had been ordered to pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
It brings McCall's total bill to £419, to be paid at £20 per month from February 10 this year. The punishment was dished out at Kirklees Magistrates Court, Huddersfield, on January 13.
Middlesbrough, backed by a large travelling support, won the game 2-1 thanks to two first half goals from Duncan Watmore, with an injury time own goal from Luke Daniels coming too late to save the Terriers.
