SEAN Maitland claims it will be a dream come true to bring up his century when he makes his 100th appearance for Saracens in their Premiership Rugby contest against Bath on Saturday.

The Scottish international joined in 2016 and will want his milestone match at the Stone X Stadium to end in victory against a Bath side who have notched victories in their last two Premiership matches after previously failing to win all season.

And Sarries will look to not only end Bath’s run of form but also kick their league campaign back into life after back-to-back losses to Gloucester and Wasps.

“To reach 100 games for Saracens is a dream come true,” said Maitland.

“Every time I have put the jersey on from 1-100, all I’ve wanted to do is earn the respect from my fellow teammates and hopefully I have done that.”

Saracens are missing several players due to the Six Nations, with Maro Itoje, Nick Isiekwe, Max Malins and Elliot Daly all starting for England and Jamie George on the bench.

And in the absence of captain Owen Farrell, who is spending a lengthy period on the sidelines with injury, Mako Vunipola and Alex Goode will co-captain the side.

Vunipola features in an unchanged front-row with Vincent Koch and Tom Woolstencroft, with Tim Swinson joined by Theo McFarland in the second row.

After not being included in the Scotland squad for their Calcutta Cup clash versus England, Andy Christie will play as blindside flanker with Ben Earl and Billy Vunipola at the base of the scrum.

Ivan van Zyl and Manu Vunipola stay in the starting XV as half-backs, with Dom Morris back at inside centre with Alex Lozowski.

Hoping to continue a recent run of strong form is Alex Lewington on the left wing, with Maitland playing on the right and Goode at full-back.
