FRIENDS of Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals will be raising funds for heart and lung patients on their annual fund-raising walk through London on Sunday, July 24.
The London Bridges Walk will raise funds for the Next Generation Genetics appeal, which will allow more patients to be tested for inherited heart and lung conditions.
The walk will begin at the Morpeth Arms in Westminster and follow a route through the capital, crossing six bridges over the Thames.
Jody Crook, whose whole family have been tested for Brugada Syndrome – a rare inherited heart condition – said: “Knowledge is power. Following our tests and diagnoses, we can take preventive steps to stop attacks from happening.”
Places are still available for the walk on https://www.rbhcharity.org/Event/london-bridges-walk22
