STUDENTS from Uxbridge High School can look forward to making their award-winning social enterprise idea a reality after receiving a £500 donation from the law firm, Glaisyers ETL Global.

Saviour of Sports (SOS), a not-for-profit business idea developed by Year Seven students, won the London regional final of this year’s Prince’s Trust Enterprise Challenge. It aims to provide sports equipment to the community.

The Uxbridge team initially took part in classroom sessions covering business basics, pitching and communication skills.

The six teams with the highest scores went on to compete in the final, where the students pitched their enterprises to an expert panel and an audience of invited guests.

Sara Shulman, a solicitor in the Entertainment, Media and Sport department at Glaisyers, presented the £500 cheque to the Uxbridge students.

It is a national law firm with offices in London and Manchester.
