EMPLOYEES at a Ruislip-based housebuilder got together to raise money for the MS Society after the son of a colleague was diagnosed with the condition.
Debra Marskell, who has worked for Bellway’s North London region for almost seven years, organised the social event at Harefield Cricket Club.
Bellway head of customer care David McMillan performed during the evening with his band Alibi.
Debra’s son Jack, then 29, was last year diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a neurological condition that occurs when the immune system is not working properly.
More than £2,000 was raised on the night, with Bellway donating a further £1,000 to boost the total.
Staff and their partners attended, including the division’s managing director, Ali Maruf.
Ali said: “It was a lovely evening that allowed us to come together in support of a young man and his family during a difficult time.”
