TO mark Care Home Open Week, Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner MP David Simmonds visited The Harefield Care Home, run by HC-One, in Hill End Road.
The Harefield also invited in friends and neighbours in the spirit of this year’s theme, Celebrating Together.
Activities included a barbecue, garden party, raffle and entertainment, while The Reach Free School in Rickmansworth sent 12 pupils led by Katie Townshend, deputy head of PE.
The children had made the residents care packages, involving activity booklets, trinkets and inspirational messages.
Parishioners from St Mary’s Church in Harefield also attended, led by the Rev Martin Davies.
Resident Pat Boobyer said: “I thought it was a lovely event. I loved seeing all the community come together.”
