THIS year's Hayes Carnival will be going ahead as normal this weekend despite controversy over its organisation.
The parade through Hayes will set off at 12.30pm in Pump Lane, onto Botwell Lane, Compton Road, Church Road, Uxbridge Road, Grange Road and finishing at Wood End Green Road.
The stars of this year's carnival on Saturday, July 12, will be the four Shire Horses which are being brought in specially from Essex.
Hillingdon Council said they have hired the horses in a bid to lower the carbon footprint of the traditional event.
The Jambalaya New Orleans jazz band will be part of the procession along with a number of other entertainers.
There will also be fairground rides at Barra Hall Park, a steel band, and a mega mini stunt team.
