THE Woodman pub in Breakspear Road, Ruislip, raised £1,400 at its Macmillan coffee morning.
Friends in the community made cakes and baked goods for the occasion, and they were all entered into a competition to be crowned the best bake.
The winner was Allan Merrygold, a regular customer for more than 40 years.
As well as cakes, coffee and chats, there was also a raffle and a visit from the Mayor of Hillingdon.
The Woodman will also be holding a Christmas raffle in December for Michael Sobell Hospice.
