COLLECTORS aim to fill a completely empty storage unit in Hayes with Easter eggs for struggling families.

They hope people will donate eggs to completely fill a unit similar in size to an old-fashioned red phone box in aid of The Felix Project.

To fill the container at Access House in Nestles Avenue, the collecting team will need to gather around 200 boxed supermarket Easter eggs, with any extras spilling over into a larger unit.

Access Self Storage is working with The Felix Project, a food redistribution charity fighting food waste and hunger in London.

Thousands of Easter eggs have been donated by stores and customers since the collections began in 2011.

Donations can be made at Access House in Nestles Avenue from March 1-25.
