A FATHER-of-three has been found guilty of stashing child pornography on his computer despite telling the jury he did not know what was on files and back-up CDs.

Paul Awcock of Glebe Avenue, Ruislip, who was caught with “truly ghastly” images on various computers, blamed it on his pregnant girlfriend, the court heard.

But, the jury sitting at Isleworth Crown Court found the 43-year-old guilty of 14 of the 16 charges of possessing indecent photographs of children, which were found at his home on August 19, 2006.

Awcock’s girlfriend, Anisia Sewkumar admitted the same charges.

Prosecutor Alexandra Healy told the court how the 45 video images “ranged in seriousness from depicting children in erotic poses to penetrative sexual activity between children and adults and outright sadism.”

She added that the pornographic images were found in three separate locations in the house on the computer equipment seized.

Also among the adult porn found by officers was a film of the couple having sex, which Awcock insisted his girlfriend had initiated.

When faced by officers, he told them how some of the equipment belonged to his former girlfriend and some to his daughter and he was simply repairing it.

Ms Healy, said: “He was immediately trying to distance himself from the hard drives on which these images were stored.

“He deliberately distanced himself and the only reason he would try to do that is because he was aware of what might be found.”

Awcock was warned to expect prison sentence and was remanded on bail for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.

He is due to be sentenced in October with Ms Sekumar.
