A MAN has been charged with murder after a man died from stab wounds at a Thame golf course.

Police said the man died from ‘serious stab wounds to the neck’ at about 3pm yesterday at The Oxfordshire Golf Club, Rycote Lane in Thame.

The victim is 32 and from the Aylesbury area, police said.

Jonathan Limani, 33 from Rycote Lane, Thame was today charged with murder and will appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Det Ch Insp Steve Tolmie said: "Police were called to the scene at 3.12pm yesterday afternoon and the first officers arrived within four minutes of the first call."

The victim was pronounced dead the scene, he said.

“This was clearly upsetting for the staff and guests who were at the golf club at the time and I would like to thank them for their co-operation.”

The private course was designed by legendary course designer Rees Jones and opened in 1993.
