LOVE BEYOND, a musical re-telling the entire story of The Bible, is playing at Wembley Arena on October 1 and 2 with a host of West End stars, including Hillingdon-raised Holly-Anna Lloyd.

She studied at St Helen’s College, Northwood, and, through Sunday drama classes, realised her ambition of starring in a musical.

She told me: “I’ve always known I wanted to end up in musical theatre, but I decided I wanted to have classical training first.”

Holly-Anna graduated last year from the Royal Academy of Music, where her roles included Charlotte in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music and Mrs Eggleston in Little Me.

She also sang the role of Maria in West Side Story for BBC Radio 2’s Friday Night is Music Night with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

On leaving the Royal Academy, Holly-Anna was cast in Berlin – The Musical as Katja Meier, and it was on the back of her success in this production that she was cast as Mary – Mother in Love Beyond.

She is excited to be performing at Wembley and says rehearsals are going well.

Holly-Anna puts it down the bond the cast had developed through their shared faith and the Christian storyline of the production.

She said: “It’s rare to find a cast where you all have this kind of close bond. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to find it again - you are given time to worship together in the morning before rehearsals.”

Holly-Anna was married last Christmas in Ruislip, where she now lives. She told me: “It was beautiful – a really special day.”

After Love Beyond, she has a role in Soviet Zion at the Jewish Museum, London, on October 19 and 20 and the Lost London Theatre on October 26.
