WATFORD’S Under-18s produced a dominant display against Colchester United as they eased to a 5-2 victory on the road on Monday.
The game saw the Golden Boys create a number of chances as their attacking quality proved too strong for the home side.
Ryan Cassidy has spent much of this season and last playing at Under-23 level but stepped down and age group to take part in the match.
The teenager was quick to make an impression as he netted a brace to help Watford exert their dominance on proceedings.
Sam Sessay was also in good form and added a double of his own to cap an impressive performance.
While United’s two goals provided a minor point of concern for the Hornets the win was largely comfortable.
Their success was sealed by substitute Dom Hutchinson who came from the bench to make it 5-2.
Watford: Baptiste (GK); Langston, Tricker, Hudson (Suckling, 64), Gordon; Trialist, Sankoh, Trialist (Blu-Lo Everton, 46), Bennetts; Sesay, Cassidy (Hutchinson, 60).
