RELIEF manager Bonnie Tarpey-Wronski will be rubbing shoulders with 2012 chairman Lord Coe at St Pancras International as part of London’s one-year to go Olympic celebrations.

Mother-of-two Mrs Tarpey-Wronski, 28, will join Olympic athletes from across Europe at a star-studded day on July 27 after winning an exclusive invite to London 2012 provider Eurostar’s Olympic celebrations.

A lucky select few of the 20 Eurostar winners will also be chosen to have a cast of their feet made at St Pancras International, representing the first steps of a Games spectator on the way to London 2012, before being whisked off to the Olympic Park. “I had forgotten that I had applied for the prize so I was so pleased when I found out that I had won,” said Mrs Tarpey-Wronski – who will also enjoy a guided tour of the key Olympic sites across London.

“It’s actually my son Carlo’s birthday on the 27th so he was literally jumping up the wall when he found out that we would be going.

“He is into his sport and so he is really excited about seeing the Olympic Stadium and it is going to be a really good day.”

Double world champion and Olympic silver medallist Colin Jackson will join Mrs Tarpey-Wronski on his whistle-stop tour of the capital.

“This is such a wonderful opportunity for members of the public to experience the London 2012 Olympic Games firsthand,” said Jackson.

“Sampling the London 2012 venues and mixing with key Olympic figures will be an eye-opening tour – and I know Bonnie will be blown away.”
