Peter Knight’s worldly group Gigspanner is set to fiddle with the ears of a St Albans audience on November 7 at Trestle Arts Base.
Hailed as ‘another milestone in folk’s rebirth of cool,’ the group flirts with genres such as Eastern European, French, Cajun, African and Aboriginal, inspiring the late Sir Terry Pratchett to write of Steeleye Span’s erstwhile legendary fiddle player: “Peter Knight can spin the world on his bow”.
Trestle Arts Base, Russet Drive, St Albans, November 7, 7.30pm. Details: 01727 850950.
