YOUNG people have started on their election campaigns in a bid to represent Hillingdon at this year’s UK Youth Parliament.
This included the opportunity for candidates to outline their manifestos at schools across the borough.
Last month, they introduced themselves at a school council meeting at Swakeleys School in Hillingdon, with some even showing campaign videos they had put together.
The two candidates who draw in the most votes will become Hillingdon’s UK Youth Parliament representatives in 2014, while the person who comes third will become their deputy.
The Youth Parliament was established in 1999 to help give young people a platform to air their opinions on important issues.
Voting begins at 8pm on Monday, February 24. Young people should vote online with the code they receive from school, at young.hillingdon.gov.uk
