VOLUNTEERS are being sought to join Hillingdon Council’s Green Spaces team in a series of clean-up events on Saturday, October 18.
The borough is taking part in the Big Tidy-Up, a national project by Keep Britain Tidy, which is designed to make the capital cleaner.
Tidy-ups will take place at various locations in the borough from 10am-midday. To find your nearest event, visit www.thebigtidyup.org
Councillor Jonathan Bianco, cabinet member for property, said: "Residents have always shown a great community spirit by taking part in previous clean-up events and I hope we are greeted with a similar response this time.
“It would be great to see everyone rally round and support our green spaces team.
"We work hard to keep the borough free from waste and litter, and we want to encourage everyone to take pride in where they live by keeping it clean and green."
Litter-picking equipment will be provided on the day.
