INTERNATIONAL school ACS Hillingdon, in Vine Lane, is again offering a fully-funded, two-year scholarship to a state school pupil from the borough.

It is offering an International Baccalaureate Diploma programme to an academically outstanding Year 11 pupil.

Starting in the next academic year, autumn 2015, the scholarship is worth well in excess of £40,000 over two years.

Applicants must be predicted to achieve a minimum five Grade As at GCSE and be keen to progress to a top university. Interested pupils have until the end of January to apply.

The IB Diploma programme is highly valued by universities and employers the world over.

Linda LaPine, Head of School at ACS Hillingdon, said: “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right pupil to benefit from a world-class education whilst making lifelong friends from across the globe and maintaining their home living environment and friendship circles.”

Applications will be accepted from pupils currently studying at a local state school and with a family / household income of up to £55,000 pa.

Following an initial written application, shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a non-committal visit to ACS Hillingdon to meet teachers and current pupils and get the feel of the school before any formal offers are made.
