NATIONAL charity Samaritan’s Purse has thanked the Regus business centres at Oxford Road, Uxbridge, Millington Road, Hayes, Furzeground Way and The Square at Stockley Park, plus Heathrow, for their support in collecting thousands of gift-filled shoe boxes.
These have been distributed to needy and vulnerable children around the world.
The shoe boxes, put together by individuals, firms, schools and churches, contained everything from sweets and toys to toothbrushes and colouring books.
They were distributed in time for Christmas to underprivileged children in orphanages, hospitals and refugee camps.
This is the second year that Regus, the global workplace provider, has been involved in the appeal.
Almost 300 of the company’s UK centres collected 5,000 shoe boxes between them.
