STREET dance and comedy fans are in for a treat with the arrival of Flo White and The Six Dwarves at The Questors Theatre, Ealing.

The classic fairy tale, Snow White, has been given a hip-hop comedy makeover by Ealing Street Dance Academy, the borough’s largest street and breakdance school.

It last performed at The Questors Theatre in 2013 with its sell-out show The Wizard of Ealing, a contemporary re-boot of the famous Oz tale.

Ruth Kestenbaum, creative director, said: “We wanted to serve up something different. Flo White is as much about the comedy as it is the dancing. It’s crammed with gags for adults, while always remaining family friendly.”

With a script by comedy writer Paul Randall, references to pop culture throughout and a hip-hop inspired soundtrack, there should be something for everybody.

“There are loads of references to films and TV,” said Ruth. “Things you certainly wouldn’t expect in a fairytale. There are nods to Star Wars, The Karate Kid, Fight Club, and even Jeremy Kyle.”

More than 200 children, aged five to 16, are performing in the feel-good show from February 12-14. Tickets are available now from www.questors.org.uk Ealing Street Dance Academy runs classes all day on Saturdays during term time at St Benedict’s School and Ealing Town Hall.
