NIKOLETT VEGH, of Ruislip, is the Student of the Year at the London College of Beauty Therapy for her outstanding commitment and work ethic.
A career in Beauty was not something she initially planned, but becoming a single mother two years ago with two boys aged three and eight months meant she could no longer pursue her original career in hospitality, due to the unsociable working hours.
Needing to change her life for the better, she looked to beauty and completed her Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy before being offered a job at Salon 155 in South Ruislip at the end of last year.
Nikolett has gone on to study for her Level 3, which she is able to do by attending college part-time, whilst still working at Salon 155.
She said: “It is amazing to know that my hard work has been rewarded. I would like to thank all the inspirational, professional and helpful lecturers that have taught me.
“My advice to other students is to set your goals and let nothing or no-one stop you from achieving them.”
