EXPANSION work is underway at Warrender Primary and Hillside Infants and Juniors as Hillingdon Council prepares to invest £153m to create more primary school places.
The work at Warrender in Ruislip will offer an additional 210 places, with work including a new two-storey building to accommodate eight classrooms, an ICT suite, library, Design Technology room and group spaces.
There will also be a new games area and a sports pitch, while the existing hall space will be enlarged. Building work is expected to be complete by the end of 2018.

Hillside Infant and Junior in Northwood are also being expanded to offer an additional 216 places.
A new standalone building will accommodate 12 new classrooms, hall, studio, ICT suite, library, Design Technology room, kitchen and group spaces. Completion is expected in early 2019.
The expansion work is part of the council’s £260m school building programme, to meet demand for places in the borough as the population continues to grow. The council has so far created 6,682 new primary school places since 2011.
