UXBRIDGE Folk Club will be hosting singer-songwriter Robb Johnson for a concert on Thursday, April 26.
Johnson is often thought of as a political singer, but he also writes wistful and romantic songs. A favourite is 6b Go Swimming about his time as a teacher in Hounslow (and he remains a Brentford fan).
His recent suite, The Gentle Men, was an extended story about the experiences of his grandfathers in the First World War.
In support there will be a 40-minute set from Alden, Patterson & Dashwood a Norwich-based folk and Americana trio.
