BRENTFORD Football Club’s Community Sports Trust has launched a free youth project for young people in Hillingdon.

Funded by Heathrow, it will offer the chance to play and enjoy sport in a safe environment.

The project will provide coaching sessions at three venues, Goals Heathrow, Botwell Green Sports and Leisure Centre in Hayes and West Drayton Young People's Centre.

It will also offer volunteering and training opportunities – helping young people to develop life skills and realise their potential.

The Bees Trust has run community projects across Hounslow, Ealing and Richmond for many years.

“This new project helps us to develop our presence in communities across Hillingdon, as we continue to offer new and innovative projects that support the aspirations of young people.”

This year alone, it has engaged with 1,500 young people across west London.

Graham Goodden, Communities Engagement Manager, said: “We’re passionate about young people enjoying sport and becoming active.

“Launching UBactive will give us the opportunity to expand our grassroots community programme.”
