A world-famous orchestra and professional singer gave a unique performance to a “packed” church audience.

On Sunday, June 24, the people of Chorleywood in Rickmansworth were given to a special “Summer Tea Concert” by the renowned All Souls Orchestra, at Christ Church Chorleywood.

Hillingdon Times:

The afternoon’s programme included entertainment delivered by a twenty-piece ensemble led by director of music at All Souls Church in Robert Adam Street, London, Noël Tredinnick, and professional singer and choral director, Sara Stroh. Children from Christ Church’s School choir also performed.

A church spokesperson said Mr Tredinnick “conducted in his own inimitable style”, while Ms Stroh sang an assortment of numbers “suitable to cover all tastes”.

Hillingdon Times:

The vicar of Christ Church, David Hall, said: “It was a lovely mix of music and an overall brilliant community event - we are hoping to do lots more.

“The orchestra played everything from the classic piece ‘Summer Time’, to church music and other contemporary numbers.”

David also delivered a speech entitled, “Pause for Thought” on the merits of human generosity before everyone tucked into tea and a sumptuous array of cakes.
