A class of nursery pupils celebrated graduating by holding a special ceremony.
Every summer, First Place Nurseries in Watling Street, Radlett, host a ceremony to say goodbye to the children as they head off to school.
Wearing blue gowns and mortarboards, the children were certainly dressed for the occasion but it was a bittersweet moment for teachers at the nursery.
Following the graduation, which took place at the end of June in front of friends and family, a spokeswoman for the nursery said: “It is with mixed emotions when the children graduate from nursery to go to school.
“It is sad that they are leaving us but we are also happy as we can see the difference from when the children join us at aged two, to when they leave us to go in to reception. What a great job our team have done in ensuring the children are happy, independent and totally ready for school.”
