AN appeal to raise funds for patients under the age of 18 at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals is launched today (7).
The two hospitals are world leaders in heart and lung care and look after young people with a range of medical conditions.
Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity is always looking for ways to improve the experience of patients, which is why it launched its Young Patients appeal.
It will fund several projects to help children and young adult patients, including those studying for their GCSEs and A-levels.
The charity’s Covid-19 Relief Fund bought £182,000 worth of new equipment to help the hospitals treat some of the most severely ill Covid patients.
