THE Woodman in Breakspear Road, Ruislip, has been crowned the Stonegate Group’s pub of the year and London and South East Divisional pub of the year at the internal Stars of Stonegate Awards.
It also won the Stonegate Pub Partners pub of the year at the Great British Pub Awards.
It recognises the work of licensee Steve Banks and his team. Steve has been at the Woodman for eight years and has transformed it into a bustling community hub.
In addition to drinks and food, the pub’s weekly entertainment schedule keeps regulars and new faces engaged.
The community is also at the centre of everything Steve does at the Woodman, and he continually finds ways to support charities and causes.
Recently, the Woodman’s annual charity event, The Woodfest All Dayer, had 400 people dropping by to support Michael Sobell Hospice.
Steve commented: “My amazing team and I do all we can to make a welcoming space for everyone in the community and it means so much that our hard work has been rewarded.
