DISRUPTION to traffic at Hillingdon Circus is expected next week while essential gas mains work is carried out by National Grid.

Maintenance work started on Friday evening (October 21) and is expected to continue throughout the school half-term week when roads are quieter.

Temporary four-way traffic lights will be set up while engineers replace a stretch of metallic gas mains with new plastic pipes in Freezeland Way, at the junction with Long Lane.

National Grid construction engineer Neil Jackson said: “By carrying out the work during the half term school holidays – when the roads are generally quieter – we will hopefully minimise any inconvenience to the public.”
