A HAYES mother is calling on borough people to support for her daughter's bid for X-Factor success with her group, Little Mix.
The all-girl group were forced to change their name from Rhythmix midway through the competition.
Harlington Community School teacher Debbie Pinnock, 47, says the extra support could get them through to the final.
Debbie, a history teacher, said: “I would like to say a huge thank-you to everyone in the area for their support but let’s keep them in the competition.”
Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne, 20, who also worked at Harlington Community School as a teaching mentor, has described the pupils as her inspiration.
“It makes me feel so proud because the kids want to talk about her all the time,” said her mother.
When this year’s competition started, Leigh-Anne auditioned alone, but judges decided to put her with three other hopefuls to form a group.
“All four of them know that they could not have got as far as they have without each other,” said Debbie. “They’re best friends, even sisters already.”
Each week at 6pm just before the show, Debbie meets up with the rest of the group’s families.
They assemble across the road from Wembley’s Fountain Studios to discuss what lies ahead for their daughters.
She said: “I can’t stop talking about it. I am really hoping they get signed as there is such a market for a young girl group”.
