RUISLIP Lido will mark its bicentenary with a free firework event on Saturday, December 3.
Families are invited to attend a celebration of the 200 years since it was opened in 1811 as a feeder reservoir for what is now known as the Grand Union Canal.
Refreshments and free entertainment for children will be available on Willow Lawn from 5pm.
The musical firework display will start at 7pm.
Council leader Ray Puddifoot said: “This promises to be a spectacular event which I am sure will provide a great deal of enjoyment for everyone.
“The Lido is a very popular borough attraction and I am very pleased we are able to celebrate such a milestone with a fun-packed evening.”
