ENERGY bills could be slashed for Hillingdon residents who take advantage of the RE:NEW scheme.
It runs until the end of March and saves the average household £160 a year in energy bills.
A total of 850 families have benefited so far – and it not only saves money but also reduces carbon emissions.
Home visits assess the household energy usage and are followed by the installation of free energy-saving devices such as reflective radiator panels and low-energy light bulbs.
For those over 70 or receiving some benefits, the scheme also allows for wall cavity filling and free loft insulation.
