EALING is getting in to the Christmas spirit, with December just around the corner.

This weekend, there is a range of Christmas fairs across the borough, as well as Christmas productions in Ealing theatres.

Here are just a few of the events happening : Light up the Lane – Pitshanger Lane, Ealing, Sunday, November 27, 4pm Festive stalls, mulled wine, food including a hog roast, street entertainers, carols, and the big light switch-on at 5pm, followed by a grand firework finale.

Hanwell Winter Fair – Hanwell Clock Tower, Sunday, November 27, 2-5pm Stalls, mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, carols and Father Christmas.

Mount Carmel Primary School Christmas Fair, Sunday, November 27, 12-4pm Food and drink, festive gifts and Santa’s Grotto.

Oakland Park Primary School, Hanwell Christmas Fair, Saturday, December 3, 1-4pm Mulled wine, mince pies, carols, and live reindeer, sleigh and snow.

St Stephen’s Church, West Ealing, Christmas Bazaar, Saturday December 3, 10.30am Gifts, food and carols all with Father Christmas.

St Dunstan’s Church East Acton, Christmas Fair, Saturday, December 3, 12 noon Christmas fun for all the family.

Holy Cross Church Greenford, Saturday, December 3, 11-4pm Festive stalls, food and drink and Santa’s Grotto.

Theatre

Santa in Space panto by St Mary’s Church Players, Hanwell, Thursday –Saturday, December 1-3, 7.45pm. A space-themed panto featuring aliens, villains, robots, soldiers and a dame. Tickets £10 (£6 concessions), including mulled wine/soft drink and a mince pie.

The Flint Street Nativity, Questors Theatre, Friday, December 2 – Saturday, December 17, 7.45pm. A cast of adults re-create the intrigue, political wrangling and drama of the average primary school nativity in this hilarious alternative to the usual Christmas fare. £11 (£10 concessions, £5 child/student), final Fri/Sat £13 (£12 concessions, £6 child/student).

The Night Before Christmas, Waterman’s Theatre, Brentford , Thursday, December 8 – Friday, December 23. A captivating story that is guaranteed to get everyone in the Christmas spirit. The Big Wooden Horse Theatre Company brings magic, excitement, catchy tunes and plenty of audience participation. Tickets £9.

Charity carol concert by Ealing Choral Society, St Barnabus Church, Ealing – Saturday December 10, 7pm. Adults £10, 5-18s £5, under-5s free.
