MORE than 60 students took part in the annual Hillingdon’s Got Talent event at ACS Hillingdon school, performing a range of acts including comedy, singing and orchestral pieces in front of a packed audience.

Bori Kereszturi’s acrobatic modern dance routine Now in its fifth year, the show was set up by parent Amanda Philipe-Savage, with the aim of uniting parents, students and teachers while celebrating the unique talents of the performers.

Highlights this year included an outstanding modern dance routine by Grade 12 student Bori Kereszturi, who went on to be crowned High School Winner.

This was followed by an impressive string and percussion performance by the ACS String Ensemble.

The proceedings ended with a duet by Noah Maurer and economics teacher Henry Zacchini, who performed a freestyle routine on the drums.

This is the first time a student has collaborated with a teacher, reflecting the increasing popularity of the show across ACS Hillingdon.

Money raised through ticket sales will be added to funds available for the ACS Hillingdon Gifts Programme, which allows parents, students and teachers to choose an item to buy to enhance the teaching and learning experiences for students.

So far, the Gifts Programme has been used to buy a piano, disco ball, microphones and wigs for the school’s Performing Arts programme.
