A PUB and exotic dance venue in Hayes has had its licence suspended after a police raid.
Nine people were arrested at The Victoria in North Hyde Road on Wednesday as part of Operation Bear, a borough-wide crackdown on drug crime.
The following day, police presented urgent evidence to the council and, within two hours, a decision was made that means The Victoria cannot serve alcohol or play music until the licence is subject to a full review.
A hearing to carry that out is scheduled to take place within 28 days.
Jean Palmer, deputy chief executive of Hillingdon Council, said: “I am pleased to say the council acted quickly to protect the interests of the local community by suspending The Victoria’s licence while the police carry out their investigations into alleged criminal activity there.
“A full review of the licence will give us the opportunity to address potential issues and take appropriate action, with input from the police, business owners and residents.”
