THE summer holidays may be over, but it’s been one to remember for young shoppers in Uxbridge as they enjoyed a DC Super Hero takeover at intu Uxbridge with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.

On Friday, September 2, the final character appearance of the summer took place at the shopping centre, as Superman flew in to young fan’s delight.

The fictional character showed off his super powers throughout the day in a fun interactive show, as well as posing for photos with visitors.

There have also been special appearances from Batman and Wonder Woman as intu Uxbridge has been inspiring members of its kids club to ‘be a DC Super Hero this summer’.

Over the six weeks summer holidays, there have been a series of Super Hero workshops where activities included making superhero accessories, learning superhero skills and dressing up fun.

Children also took part in DC Super Hero missions of their own by tracking down Super-Villains like The Joker and The Penguin hidden in the centre.

“What a blast we’ve had this summer,” said Natasha House, marketing manager at intu Uxbridge.

“We hosted some of the world’s best super heroes in the centre across the summer, to bring free DC Super Hero-inspired entertainment to Uxbridge for local families.

“It was fantastic to see so many of our younger shoppers join in the fun, and hopefully leave the centre even more of a Super Hero than when they came in.”
