THE Deputy Lieutenant for the Borough of Hillingdon was the special VIP guest at the Michael Sobell Hospice Cuppa for Care event held on Tuesday.
Bruce Houlder attended the event in celebration of Hospice Care Week – a national awareness campaign to promote the work of local hospices across the UK.
On the day, Bruce was taken on a tour of the hospice by Nurse Team Manager Carol Weston to see first-hand the work carried out at Michael Sobell, and treated to home-made cakes and refreshments while chatting with charity staff and volunteers.
Bruce said: “It was a most impressive visit for me for which I am very grateful.
“I have nothing but admiration for the work Michael Sobell Hospice does.
“It was a privilege to meet such a dedicated and delightful team.”
Superstar Jimmy Osmond also showed his support in the week by sharing a personal message in support of hospice care.
