A £10,000 Crimestoppers reward has been offered for help in solving the murder of an Uxbridge man.

Harjit Singh Dulai, 44, was stabbed to death on Wednesday, 27 January 2016 by the tennis courts in Rosedale Park, off Albion Road, Hayes.

A 16-year-old boy stood trial for murder but was acquitted in July at the Old Bailey.

The reward is being offered by independent charity Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for Mr Dulai's murder.

It is applicable only for information passed directly to Crimestoppers rather than the police.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, of the Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "Our investigation into Mr Dulai's death continues and we hope this substantial reward being offered by Crimestoppers encourages someone to come forward with information.

"If you can help please contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

"I'm certain people in the local area will have spoken about the motive, who is responsible, where the murder weapon is and what the suspect did afterwards.

"You may feel frightened about speaking out and 'snitching' but by maintaining your silence you're keeping a killer at large and denying Mr Dulai's family justice.

Mr Dulai’s family said: "It is now over a year since Harjit’s death and we are still mourning his loss. We are devastated by what happened.

"The person who murdered him continues to walk free and we need him caught.

"We would ask anyone with information that could help the police investigation to please come forward."

Call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

The reward is valid for three months.
