A FORMER night club in Cowley, near Uxbridge, is being turned into a community space after being bought and converted by a church.
Crown Church Hillingdon has transformed the site of the former No 8 Night Club into The Living Room, which will host the church offices and features such as a food bank.
It will also serve as a meeting space and venue for for people of all ages across the borough.
The centre, in Cowley High Street, opens this Saturday (30).
James Hunting, lead pastor at Crown Church, said: “A lot of hard work has gone into transforming this once-dilapidated bar into a sparkling new community centre.
“We are really looking forward to opening the doors and making a positive contribution to the community in Cowley.”
The official opening of the Living Room is from 10am-1pm when families and others are invited to tour The Living Room and enjoy a free milkshake bar, run by the youth arts and crafts group for parents and children.
